Twice Called Up. One Opotiki man at least has had the honour of being called up in two consecutive ballots for overseas service. What is worrying him chiefly is how he is going to fill the dual role in the arm}'. Oilier single men in the district who have been in territorial ballots have not been called [n an overseas ballot, although this ballot is supposed to be the final one for single men. This ballot contains an unusually large percentage of names of men who arc already serving in some branch of d'efencs, and the name of at least, one man who volunteered shortly after the outbreak of war.
