Whirlwind football of the type which kept the crowd on its toes from beginning to end was seen on the Tauranga Domain on Saturday afternoon, Avhen the Rangitaiki representative fifteen made a determined but unsuccessful bid to wrest the Hurunui-A'panui Shield from Tauranga, the game ending in the home team's favour by eight points to five.

The Rangitaiki Junior representatives have challenged Tauranga for the Shalfoon Shield and will play the match on Saturday next. The Rangitaiki team has been selected as follows :.
