At present and for the next threes Weeks the Public Works Department's power shovel will be work-*, ing on the removal of a slip on the Yaneatua Road, the spoil being re-» moved being of a rocky substance which is suitable for the building up of roads.. Some farmers have already avails ed themselves of the suggestion thafcthey might have loads of this if they arranged for its transport, and have* used it in making roads on their farms which have needed Improvement to provide for the carrying of miilk for cheese.
To have the spoil removed is als<* . a help to the Department and thvs if farmers require loads a mutual., advantage will be served. The neer in charge states that settlers who require spoil should make theijr arrangements as soon as: possible.
