It wiWflfcbably be of interest 1 to ■sii 1 to know that every man -who is called up for service with the Armed Forces in accordance with the regulations is deem•ed to be transferred from the g.cn■eral reserve to the army on the •day following the gazetting' of the notice calling him up, and until he is lawfully discharged or transferred from an armed force he remains a member of that force in the same manner to all intents ar.d purposes as if he had voluntarily enlisted therein and taken the oath of allegiance. It follows, therefore, that when a man has been called up by gazette noticc, from the day following the publication of the notice lie is a soldier and subject to military law and is required to obey any lawful command.
