SHORTAGE OF WOOL
PATRIOTIC WORKERS HANDICAPPED EXCELLENT WORK DONE At Monday's meeting of the Patriotic Committee, Mr C. G. Lucas, secretary, appealed to district committees which did not have workers to cope with the allocation of wodill allowed them, to hand back that which was not immediately used as other committees were short and were asking for more supplies. He also reported that to date 88(i 4-ounce bundles of wool had been issued throughout the Whakatan? county and borough and a total of 1274 articles had been, knitted and returned. The total]: of gift parcels was 845, while for the Lady Galway Patriotic Guild 35 large cases and two cartons of garments had been forwarded to headquarters.
