TRESPASS CHARGE
DEER STALKERS FINED HUNTING WITHOUT PERMIT ''The first point is that experienc--cd men should know better tlian gri into a forestry reserve, and the sec-i ond is that they should fully realise Ihe danger to the areas. Damage of incalculable nature could be caused, -and the fact that these men camd from outside Rotorua is no excuse for them not having local knowledge on the matter," stated Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M., in the Rotorua Magistrate's Court when dealing •with cases where men had entered the State Forest reserve without a permit, and were also charged with hunting animals in the area without authority.
