THE MUSEUM SUGGESTION

WE have heard so much comment on the suggestion from these columns that a start should be made to collect articles, photographs and documents, relating to the early history of Whakatane by way of forming a nucleus for a post-war museum, that we feel we have a right in recommending it to the Chamber of Commerce as a possible subject for the consideration of its members. Incidentally, many of the older residents, whom we have contacted, expiess their intention of hajiding over certain of their pos-, sessions should the scheme be approved and actually put under way.
