JEWS AND OTHERS DRIVEN FROM HOMES ARBITRARY EVICTIONS All the Jewisih population of Warsaw lias been driven into the ghetto ami all the Polish population living within its. bounds turned out, unlike Lodz, where a number t>f Poles icmained in the ghetto and are now not allowed to transfer. I,n the case of mixed marriages, couples either have to separate or both go to the ghetto, though some have managed to get out of tLj situation. There is no fixed definition of Jewish origin and sometimes families are traced, back fori several generations!.
