FORTHCOMING GYMKHANA
WITH only a week to go, it is pleasing to reflect that all arrangements in connection with the Home Guard Gymkhana to be held on Saturday next are completed. The full programme has been carefully overhauled to ensure that the public will be given full-time entertainment of a novel and interesting character. The Rotorua and Whakatane Pipe Bands will combine with individual displays, and th'e spectacular mounted events are calculated to attract more than passing attention. In the evening there will be a grand combined dance promoted by a special committee, which will rhake for a fitting conclusion to a memorable day. Residents should make every effort to attend both these events 1 , the like of which it is stated has not been seen in the Bay of Plenty before-
