MILITARY REGISTRATION
| Sir—l note with interest the very laudible comment in your Wednesday's issue of the BEACON! regarding single men failing to register. In this respect however it must be admitted that the position has certainly been particularly vague—and many single men far from wishing to evac\e their responsibility to their country have beeji under the impression .that compliance with the Social Security questionnaire fulfilled their obligation. They are: now in the unenviable position of appearing slackeis whereas they have been awaiting official notification. The recent court cases have> caused some concern as it is certain that no direct official instructions have been issued to theSQgjgnen for further enrolment and were completely in the dark as' to what was required of them. Yours etc., "BEWILDERED."
