LYCEUM CLUB
SOCIAL AFTERNOON The usual monthly social afterrum was held last Thursday in the club rooms when a very interesting afternoon was held. A reading was given by Mrs Winstone and Mrs Spence read a most interesting letter from an Air Force boy. This was followed by a charming address given by an overseas visitor, Mra Mussett on "My life in Mtilaya." A competition was won by Mrs Appleby. Tea was afterwards dispensed by the three hostesses for the afternoon, Mrs Otley, Mrs Cole and Mtrs Farmer. Those present were Mrs. S. Spence, Mrs Thomas, Mrs Mussett (Malaya), Mrs G. Mussett, Mrs E. Armstrong, Mrs F. Appleby, Mrs J. Boon, Mr" G. Booth, Mrs Kcir, Mrs J. Morice, Mrs Rees (Edgecumbe), Mrs Blair (E'dgecumbe), Mrs Cairns, Mrs Hawken, Mrs Otley, Mrs Cole, Mrs Farm er, Mrs F. Gartshore, Mrs Dewar, Mrs G. Kent, Mrs McCall'um, Mrs T. James, Mrs Winstone, Mrs Vercoe, Mrs W. Bridger. Misses Howell, Whiteside, B.> Allan, Tait, Graham, D. Boon.
