Over £2000 to date has beten raised through the Queen Carnival effort for the "All Purposes" Patriotic Appeal being held at Rotorua and which concludes to-day at 4 p.m. Additions to School. Advice 1 has been received locally from the Auckland Education Board stating that it intends making application to the Department with a view to having ano I her room added to the Whakatane Infant School. Air Mail Services. Air mail services to East nnd South Africa have now been resum-. -d. Letters may now be accepted for the United Kingdom for transit by air to Capetown and thence by surface to the United Kingdom.
