COMPETITIONS AT WINTER SHOW
Sir, —During the last few weeks J have heard numerous criticisms of the singing and elocution competitions held in connection „with the Winter Show. As a teacher with many years experience may I voice an opinion? Definitely the said competitions dot. not fit in with the local Wintei Show. I have attended the'competitions held afterwards at the Winter Siio'w Building fo> / many years now, and they have nev-» er been a success from any point of view. The talents of the childreif have been exploited long enough. We hope w.hen. the war is over an adequate Entertainment Hall will b<» built. Until such time, it would far beitter to abandon these conn petitions. Yours etc., TEACHER.
