DONATION OF A CAKE APPRECIATION OF PIPE BAND One «of those pleasing gestures which finds so much appreciation among those who benefit, has occurred with the presentation to the Pipe Band of a large cake, by Mrs G. Walton. The cake has now been iced by the Strand Bakery, free of cost and may be inspected in tho window of that establishment. It is the intention of the Band to make the cake the prize of a suitable competition.
