A.A. CHIEF SAFETY
AN EDUCATIONAL SERVICE A motion picture which is creat-. Ing considerable interest in the •Auckland Province is a new A.A. Road Safety film entitled "Safe Ways" which is being screened be fore audiences of children in the schools. In its Educational Services extended to school children the Uniformed Patrols of the Automobile Association (Auckland) Inc., regularljr call at the schools and talk to the children regarding the safe wa*y of crossing the road and the manj dangers to which the youngsters are exposed. With its usual enterprise tlie A.A, has produced its own film photographing in natural colour, local scenes with which the children are familiar. The film praphically explains how children can avoid being involved in an accidemt while walking along the roads going to or coming from schools. The Automobile Association's special Child Safety Instructor attends the screenings and comments according to the age of the pupils while the film is being shown. Copies of the "Safe Ways" also produced in natural colour have been supplied to Southern Automobile Associations and will be rel&ased in the schools in the Hawke's Bay, Wairarapa, Wanganui and Taranaki districts.
