KNOX CLUB On Saturday, May 17 at the Knox courts Mrs Hogg presented the cups for the Singles Championships. In making the lpresentations Mrs Hogg congratulated the winners, and also the Club on a successful season. The cups were presented to Mem's Singles Championship : Mr F. Reid, Allan Cup. Ladies" Singles: Championship: Miss M. Howat, Lilburn Cup. Winners of ether tournaments held during the season were :— Combined Handicap Doubles -: H. Young and Miss Galloway. Men's Yankee Tournament: W„ Howat. Ladies' Yankee Tournament : Miss M. Howat. Detailed results of the singles championships were as follows:-—• Men's—lst Round: W. Howat defeated A. Kilgour 9--6. 2nd Round: W. Howat defeated M. Mlillner 9-2; F. Reid won from R. Hunter by default; H. Young defeated O. Martin 9-2; M. Martin defeated J. Pearson 7-4. 3rd Round: F. Reid defeated W. Howat 9-2; M. Martin won'from H. Young by default. Final: Reid defeated M. Martin 9-6'. Ladies—lst Round-: Miss Ruby Howat defeated Mrs M. Martin 7-5; Miss Galloway defeated Miss M. Henry 7-1; Miss Ml. Howat defeated Mrs R. Hunter 7h3. 2nd Round: Miss R. Howat defeated Miss McKenzie 7-3; Miss Henry defeated Miss Galloway 7-5; Miss M. Howat defeated Miss Birch 7-2; Mrs Cato defeated Miss B. HoAvat 7-5. 3rd Round: Miss R. Howat defeated Miss Henry Miss M. Howat defeateVl Mrs Cato 7-2. M. Howat defeated Miss R. Howat 7-2.
