AMAZING PROPHECY PROBLEM FOR WISE MEN' Do you know your Bible prophecy? Many minds must turn in critical times to the amazing predictions of certain hooks in the Bible. None oi' these books, isi more remarkable than the Revelations, and few verses in that most incredible of books are more strange) than that which refers to the Mark of the Beast. Here it is : "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding! count the number of the beast : for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred three score and six." Chapter 13, verse 18. Countless wise men have pondered this meaningful verse, and the following is one of the answers; provided of rcecnt times. It is, strange, admittedly, but who would be So held as to call it pure coincidence 1 Write d'ow.i the letters of the alphabet. Write under A thei number 100, under B 101, under C 102, and under Z 125. Now add the numbers that correspond to the six letters, H-I-T-L-ErR. They adld up to 666—the Mark of the Beast ! What does it all mean ? 'Let him that hath understanding count the number of the Beast : for it is the number of a man . . That Chapter 13 has many striking references to the Beast. For instance, he rose out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns like the great red dragon that appeared in the heavens (in the previous chapter). A description of the beast is given, and it is stated that "all the world wondered afteir the Beast" and that "they worshipped tho dragon Avhich gave poAver unto the beast. :i and they worshipped the beast, saying : Who is like unto the beast ? avlio is able to> make Avar with him?" The Forty-two Months. Thei next A-erse goes on : "And there Avas given unto liim a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and iK»Aver Avas given unto bim to continue forty and two months." Early in the Chapter we are told : "And the holy city shall they (the Gentiles) tread under foot forty and tAA'o months." Chapter 13 continues : "And it was given unto him (the beast) to make Avar Avit'i the saints; and to overcome them..* and power Avas given over all kindreds,, and tongues, and nations. "A'.nd all that dwell upon the ®arth shall Avorship him . . ." A second beast, Avith tAvo horns like, a lamb and speaking like a dragon, came out of the sea '*and he doeth great AA*onders, so that he maketli fire come doAvn from hoaven «n the earth in the sight of men." It was this second beas.t that "causeth all,, small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads ..." That mark Avas the number 666.
