PUSH AND PULL

Does a horse pull a cart otr push it ? Don't be too quick to answer. As a matter of fact, every horse— and every car engine—must push the vehicle to which it is attached, and,, as regards cars, it' makes no difference whether the engines drives the front wheels or the back. The' explosion pushe,s the piston, the piston pushes the con.-rod, the con.rotl pushes the crankshaft, all the gear wheels push each other, the crown wheel pushes the axle and the wheel, and, finally, the wheel pushes the road. There isn't a pull in it from start to finish. Isn't that right ?
