Miss Whiloside road, n letter which she had recently re ceived, from a friend, in England, which A\as of particular intonst in view of recent happenings. Til" afternoon's competition was won bv Mrs Winstonc. Afternoon tea was served by four of the members and the singing o? the National Anthem brought the afternoon, to a elos.\Among those present were Mrs S C. Spence, Mrs N. W. Carter, Mrs Littlejohn, Mrs Conolly, Mrs A. K. Bridger, Mrs Hawken, Mrs .1. "W". Boon. Mrs W. R. Boon, Mrs Steel, Mrs Lux ton, Mrs Alexander Mr* Rogers (TaneaHia), Mrs Fainer. Mrs Dawson, Mrs Otley.
