VISIT OF GRAND LODGE The Edgeeumbe Lodge of the United Ancient Order of Druids was honoured -with visitors from the Grand Lodge on the evening of Wednesday April 23, in the persons of Grandt President, Brother Abel and Grand Vice-president, Brother Marker. Tho distinguished visitors were accorded a cordial welcome by a large attendance of Edgeeumbe members and also officers and members from Rotorua and Te Puke lodges including; District President Brother Gleeson and Past District President Sister Harris. G. P. Brother Abel addressed the meeting, giving a brief history of the growth of Druidism in New Zealand from the first small lodge in the South Island in 1876 to tlia present day with some thousands of members in both Islands, He complimented Edgeeumbe on the business like manner in which the Lodge was conducted and also on the higfe standard of the floor-work and general efficiency of the officers. G. V. P. Brother Harker gave interesting and helpful information, in regard to financial matters, and answered many enquiries. Votes of thanks were accorded to both speakers by representatives of all lodges present. After the business of the evening; was concluded, supper was served, and a lengthy toast list was honoured.
