PLEA FOR TE TEKO
SEALING BADI-Y NEEDED
ONLY TOWNSHIP OVERLOOKED
Claiming that Te Teko was the only township in the county which had been overlooked as far as tarsealing was concerned, Gr. D. W. Spence, at the meeting of the Whakatane County Council asked that before the P.W.D. plant was removed. that a strip of sealing be put down to servet the, settlement. "I understand," he said, "that most of the sealing within the county is now finished and I think that this is a job which should be done." The chairman agreed that there was a pressing need but the Main Highways Board could be approached. It would depend: on wlial the Tarawcra riding was prepared to contribute. Cr Spence: Well, we will cross: our bridges when we come to them
