EFFECT ON BOROUGH RATES
Similar information was received by the Borough Council daynight and the matter briCT&dis- - cussed- The Mayor stated that the increase would mean an addition •of %d to the rates. Cr. W. Sullivan stated that he knew the Hospital Board was handling its affairs well, but at the same "time the rise .in rates was a serious matter for the borough ratepayers -and one on which' the* Council should have full information. He asked that the Mayor enquire into ■the matter more fully.
