SCHOOL'S PROPOSAL TO BE INVESTIGATED At Monday night's meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council a letter was received from the School Committee asking if the Council would be able to supply water far the suggested Learners' Swimming Bath at the school. It was stated that the amount 1 of water neededi would be 12,000 gallons per week, which would provide for a weeklychange of the contents. A short discussion ensued members agreeing that every effort " should! be made to assist the School Committee, arid it was decided that investigations be madte by the Finance Committee with a view to ascertaining as to whether the amount could be supplied and at what cost.
