» ~.. Mr and Mrs P. Clarke, of Morrinsville, are spending a short holiday in Whakalane. They are the guests of Mr and Mrs J. Foubister. The Rev. G. P. Lucas left Whakatane to take up duty at Huntly yesterday. His successor, the Rev. G. V. Thomas; is to commence duty on April 17. Pilot Officer Peter R. Wood, one time of the staff of the local branch of the N.Z. Loan and Merantile Co, was a week-end visitor to Whakatane on his way to take up his duties as instructor at Hobsonville. He was the guest of Mr S. H. Tippett.
