Lucas left Whakatane to take up duty at Huntly yesterday. His successor, the Rev. G. V. Thomas; is to commence duty on April 17. Pilot Officer Peter R. Wood, one time of the staff of the local branch of the N.Z. Loan and Merantile Co, was a week-end visitor to Whakatane on his way to take up his duties as instructor at Hobsonville. He was the guest of Mr S. H. Tippett.
