MEDICAL BOARD RESULTS EXAMINATIONS AT WHAKATANE The following m£n of the Whakatane district were medically examined and passed as fit for service on Saturday, when medical examinations were made at Whakatane :— Chisholm, Chas Allan. Keesing, Reginald Eric. Bloxham, Eric Dudley. Campbell, Adam. Davison, William Edward Joseph. Hyland, John Garwood. Haig, Frederick Douglas. Hamilton, Robert Graham. Laugesen, Baltimore Calvert. Manning, Francis Louis. McEvoy, Allen. Lieut. C. A. Head, Recruiting Officer, states that it does not seein to be clearly understood by men called for medical examination, that the order issued to parade at the doctors for examination is compulsory, and that men that do not parade as directed are defaulters and liable to punishment. As soon as a man is called in the ballot he is automatically a Soldier on leave without pay, and must obey all orders received from the Military Authorities.
