TRAINING CONTINUED Model Platoon's Work. Excellent progress is being made by all units of the Home Guard, although owing to yesterday's rain the usual parade of Infantry, Engineers arid Mounteds had to be cancelled. The Signallers and Medical units continue to parade on Thursday eA'enings and the members reveal enthusiasm by means of the ;|)od attendance and increasing efficiency. Company Commanders Meet. On Friday evening Company Commanders of the Whakatane area met to prepare plans for further training and on Tuesday next a class is to be held for instruction iij the third syllabus of the work. . Model Platoon Parade. The Model Platoon, which has been in training during the past feAv weeks, will parade on April 6 on the property of Mr L. W. Luxton, Awakeri. Both Battalions will be on parade that day and as well as the demonstration by the model platoon battalion drill will take place. This platoon is to; receive further training at a parade to be held at the Domain to-morrow night at 1830 hours.;
