HAWKS IN STRUGGLE V : MOTORIST SURPRISED A motorist along the HamiltonTe Awamutu road noticed two hawks high in the air in front of him engaged in fierce -combat. lse stopped the car to watch developments. Soon one bird, getting away from its superior antagonist,, swooped out of the combat area straight toward the car, and actually fluttered in through.an open window to land on the floor beside the driver. Failing to get rid of the hawk, the motorist drove in to Te Awamutvi, where the bird was found to have suffered a broken wing and a broken leg.
