RANGITAIKI CRICKET
A DRAWN GAMP The Pongakawa Association travelled to Wliakatane last week-end and played a return match against the combined Whakatane teams. The game resulted in a draw as Pongakawa had not completed their innings at slumps. Whakatane stood up to Pongakawa's bowling a lot better than they did on the last occasion they met at T'e Puke. R. Craig had the best bowling average of the day, taking 6 wickets for 2S runs. A. Mitchell, for Pongakawa, knocked up a good 32 runs not out to be top scorer.
