BOY WITH TOY PISTOL STANDS GUARD
Armed with a toy gun and a flashlight, 12 year old Kenneth Alan Campbell, whose ambition it is to be a policeman, kept watch on a building, while his grandmother brought a policeman when two intruders were seen in the Fish Steam Laundry, in Ann Street. The boy lives over a shop with his grandmother, Mrs Emily Raye Campbell, who saw men go into the laundry. ' Kenneth said to-day that he saw a light go on in the office of the laundry, and then another upstairs. He saw £ mail's head looking this way and that. "My grandmother went to get a policeman, and I waited outside," he said. "I had my gun and torch. I have a passion for guns. When the policeman went inside, I went with him. The police detained a man, and made a search for another, without success. They found clothes stacked ready to pack and take away.
