SAVING THE BABIES
LOCAL PLUNKET APPEAL
In the midst of the endless appeals for war purposes, we are apt to overlook certain of our own social responsibilities. This quite natural reaction has resulted in many of our finest organisations going; begging and a subsequent decline in thejr activities. The position is true of our local Plunlcet Society, which for many years past has carried out a splendid programme of work vital to the community and Vital to the very destiny of our country. This organisation is feeling the pinch along with other dred societies which have been forged into our -social structure, and. we appeal in its interests to those who realise the greatness of its undertaking to come forward and assist by contribution or active assistance upon the occasion of the forthcoming Garden Party to be held on Thursday next, details of which are published elsewhere in this issue.
