EN TERT AINMEN T SOLDIERS' FAREWELL The public of Whakatane and district is cordially invited to attend a public farewell to soldiers now on leave to be held in the Winter Show Buildings 'on SATURDAY NEXT (March 1) at 12.15 p.m. A parade of Returned Soldiers, headed by the Caledonian Society's Pipe Band for the send off will fall in at the Rock at 11.45 p.m. and will move off at 12 noon. His Worship the Mayor-(Mr B„ S. Barry) and Mr J. L. Burnett (chairman of the County Council), tha president of the R.S.A. and Maori representatives. will farewell the soldiers, after which each will be presented with a gift from the community.
