FAREWELL TO SOLDIERS

WORK OF COMMITTEE FUNCTION! TO BE HELD The Whakatanc and District Soldiers Farewell Committee which in the past has undertaken the important duty of arranging civic farewells to soldiers has now arranged a similar function to those held in the past at which men now on leave from camp will be entertained. We have been asked to draw attention to the fact that the farewell ceremonies include soldiers from all parts of the Whakatane district and 1 that in this respect donations for expenditure on general expenses and the cost of presents will be welcomed from both town and country residents.
