PRICES FIRM
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency C<y., Ltd., reports a medium yarding of cattle at Te Teko with prices a shade firmer then the previous sale.
A pen of heavy bullocks made £10. Heavy fat Shorthorn ancl Jersey cows from £6 to £7 7s; medium /at cows from £5 5s to £5 10s; lighter £4 15s to £5; heavy boner cows from £4 7s fkl to £5 10; others from £2 17s Gd to £4 ss; potter bulls from £4 10s to £8 5s according to weight.
The sale was very brisk and practically a total clearance was effected.
EDGECUMBE PIG SALE
BACONERS TO £4 11/-
The Farmers' Auctioneering Co. report having held their foptnightly sale at the above yards on Monday, a large yarding of pigs being offered. Competition for small pigs showed a decline. Baconers sold under Jceen competition. We quote:
Heavy baconers £4 8s to £4 lis; medium £4 to £-1 3s; light baconers £3 5s to £3 15s; heavy porkers to £2. 16s; buttermilk pigs £2 5s to £2 15s; slips 18s to 245;, weaners 4s 6d to lis 6d; choppers £2 15s to £4 lis.
The next sale will be held on Monday, March 10.
