POLICE CONTROL
Sir, —In answer to the letter in your paper signed "Fed Up"—he refers to a letter signed "Police Xlontrol" as being a courageous document. I wonder if either one of them ever travelled in any other part of New Zealor any ether country. If they have they will find the police control in this town probably better than most places. "Fed Up" states he saw a young Maori come out of an hotel and he could hardly keep his feet. Surely that is not an unusual sight in New Zealand. You don't expect the hotelkeepers to know the drinking capacity of every person that uses their hotel. I think the churches are doing better as they .are than worrying about a senseless letter dictated by "Fed Up." However don't adopt tl\e underhand tactics comet from behind the smoke screen and sign your correct name. Yours etc., GEO. A. MURRAY. (Continued foot of previous column)
