B COMPANY PARADES ACTIVITIES IN WHAKATANE Considerable interest was aroused by the parade at Whakatane on Sunday of B Company of the Hauraki Regiment, which included territorials from Tauranga, Te Puke, Opotiki and from local districts. The men congregated at the Winter Show Buildings in the morning where a committee of ladies had prepared morning tea and from there marched to the Domain where field exercises w.ere gone through. A fair crowd of local residents gathered Rt the Square to see the troops march past and. His Worship the Mayor, B. S. Barry, Esq., and the Q.2vl. of the regiment,, Major Hausler took the salute. The troops-were smartly turned out and tha marching was excellent, revealing that the concentrated train ing experienced in the recent camp had brought them to a high degree of fitness and efficiency..
