WHAKATANE SHEEP FAIR The New Zealand Lpan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having l ; kl their Annual Sheep. Fair at on Friday, 7th FebriiJ ary. J-fre yarding comprised 13,500 :sheep of all classes, approximately '6,000 being store lambs.
There were buyers present from Paeroa, Waihi, Rotorua, Tauranga and T'e Puke districts and the sale ~yvas a brisk one, particularly for the lambs. Good 2-tooth eAves were keenly sought while, good conditioned 5-year owes made up to 225.
The range of prices was as, follows: •Good 2-th ewes 27s to 295; medium 2-th ewes 22s to 265; good 4 and 6-th •ewes 24s to 27s 6d; 5-year ewes 20s "to 225; 6-year ewes 17s to 20s; aged Owes 12s to 15s; 4-th wethers up to 24s- Id; 2-th wethers 18s to 21s 10d: good Romney ewe lambs 19s to 22s '7d; medium Romney ewe lambs 16s to 18s 6d; cull Romney ewe lambs lis 6d to 15s 9d; good Romney wether lambs 17s to 38s 3d; medium Romney wether lambs 12s to 16s; cull Romney wether lambs 9s to 12s: store S.D. lambs 12s to 16s; cull S.D. lambs 8s to 12s.
