ENGINEER'S REPORT The engineer, Mr C. H. Brebner, ■eported to Monday's meeting,of Hit vVhakatanc County Council as o ows: — Bridge Repairs: Damage to rail ngs on the Kopuriki Bridge over :lic Rangitaiki River lias been repaired and additional wing rails jrccted at each approach. Repairs o decking have been effected to oridges on Railway West, Rivers-ea-Otakiri3 Raroa, Powell's and Te Feko-Murupara roads. Culverts*. A 12in pipe culvert on the Wainui Road has been renewed and deepened. A new 12in pipe culvert has been installed on Ruddick's Road. Roaid Repairs: Slips have been cleared on Stanley, Wainui, Ohopc Hill and Foster's roads. In the two latter cases the recent severe earthquake was responsible. A wasliout on Burt's Access, Mimihau has been repaired. Maintenance metalling has been carried out on Awahovi road, and similar work on Station road is in hand. Grader: Scarifying and grading of the Te Teko-Galatea Road has been completed, while Hill's, Bird's and Kopuriki-Murupara roads have also been graded. The grader lias since worked on the Wainui road and is at present forming a footpath at Ohope Beach. The tractoi drawn horse grader was employee in the formation of a further chains of extension to the Herepuru North Road, where 24/18 pipes were also installed. Grading has also been carried out on th< Matata-Rotoma Road. Miscellaneous: Sign boards as required have been erected at Oliopt Beach. The bin at the Matata gravel pit lias been repaired. Some r. chains of 6in tile drain has beer laid along the Edgecumbe Statiov Road.
