POLICE BELIEVE MISSING CHILD TAKEN BY HAWK

Serious consideration is now being given to the theory that year old Desmond Clark, who disappeared from Bugaldie on Chfistmas Day, was seized by an eaglehawk when within a few. yards of his mother's home. Strength is added to the theory by the mysterious behaviour of Disraeli the famous police bloodhound, who repeatedly lost the scent at a point 200 yards from a rock o» which the child sat before he disappeared. Police from many districts, blacktraekcrs and over 800 other searcW* ers have scoured the countryside in vain without finding a single trace of the child.
