Major, (Postmaster, Te Teko) spoke on-the National Savings Scheme, pointing out that it was not intended as an appeal but to make the Scheme clear, an there; had been so many people who were nq.t conversant with the points. A vote t>f thanks was passed to Mr Major. Several small items of business were discussed after which Mrs Jamieson declared the meeting closed and the Lady Galway Guild held its meetr* ing. Fresh supplies of wool were distributed among the members fop, knitting and material for sewing. ■ Competitions for the ! afternoon resulted as follows: Best Bloom, Mrs Pe'pperal Ist,, and Miss Pep per al '2; Christmas Gift, not to cost more 4han 2>/-, Mrs Jamieson 1, Miss Pepperal 2. . A dainty afternoon tea concluded the meeting.
