PRESENTATION
MISS A. GARAWAY HONOURED KNOX CHURCH GATHERING A complimentary social was tendered to Miss Alison Caraway on the occasion of her approaching marriage; on Thursday 19th inst-by mem be.rs, of the Knox Church, Whaka.tano. The first portion of the evening was 'devoted to items and com-* petitions, after which Mr Sutherland on behalf of the church folk, asked M.iss G araway to accept as a, small-token of their esteem a Silver afternoon tea service and a cheque. Mr Sutherland spoke of the esteem in which the church people held, Miss Garaway and in. fact the whole Garaway family and hoped that she and her future husband would enjoy rrianyi years of married happiness and trusted that the day Would not bet far distant when they eould make their their many friends Jj^ttflWcatane. Various other^^spelSH^Sufors ed Mr Sutherland's remarks. Miss Garaway and Mr Waddell suitably replied. . •
