BALLOTED MEN
MEDICAL EXAMINATION EIGHTEEN PASS FIT , On Saturday afternoon 29 men drawn in the ballot for overseas service were examined by the Whaka- ptane Medical Board. Of this nunvber, the majority had previously, been examined and classed as temporarily unfit. The result of the ex-i" amination showed that eighteen men passed fit for active service, seven were recommended for treatment, and four were permanently rejectedi The remainder of the men drawn in the overseas ballot will be exam-t ined next Saturday, December 21, and the completion of the examination will allow reservists to know their position, before . the:.Christmas and New Y^Miol'idays.
