AWAKEW COLLECTORS' EFFORT The Awaken branch .of the Barnado Homes' Helpers' League opened their boxes for the annual collection last week. The president,- Mrs L. -Luxton, by • Miss ' Mullen, secretary, entertained the" children at a tea party held .at the school, and this was thorough! y enjoyed -by all. The total- amount collected from the boxes for the year 1940 was £7 9s 4d and Mrs Luxton heartily congratulated the children of sucli a comparatively small community on their splendid effort.
