GARBAGE COLLECTION
A MATTER OF INTEREST BOROUGH COUNCIL'S INTENTION When Mr Sullivan appealed for items for the next meeting's agenda paper, Mr J. Dixon suggested that perhaps nothing better could be done than review of the garbage collection question. Mr Sullivan said the matter had been included for discussion at that meeting but it had been decided by the Borough Council to institute a quarterly collection service., It was n subject which liad been worrying the council for some time, the"' method of payment presenting a problem, and it was hoped that the quarterly collection would meet the position. Mr C. Kingsley-Smith said . the Chamber should divorce itself from the Borough Council. Regarding the subject under discussion, a.better method" would possibly have been to have had it included in the agenda and to have made an explanation to the full meeting. The honorary secretary, Mr. C. W. Good, " said there was no intention of leaving the matter out altogether. The idea was to bring it up later.
