GARDEN LECTURES (Own Correspondent) ,/ A series of. lectures have- beers given in' Waimana by . Miss Cocks->. Johnston, travelling tutor . for the Conn try Women of New Miss Cocks-Johnston received . her training in England at the Women's Horticultural College. The first two lectures were held at Mrs J. Mitchell's home, Waimana, being the-' layout, treatment of soils and pests, and propagation and cultivation of garden plants. The next two lectures were given at-lhef home of Mr? A.. Eagle,, last Friday, when the cultivation of fruit and pruning and the general vegetable garden were listened to with great interest and profit. The final lecture will beheld at Mrs Hughes' home _ to-morrow* when the lectures will cover the general flower garden and the preservation of fruit and vegetables.
