TQTAL OF £200 IN VIEW DONATIONS FROM AUCKLAND Mr F. Mahy, who from the first has been the persistent advocate for the erection of the learn-*to-swim pool at Ohope and who now appears to be reaching- the realisation of his goal reports a number of helpful donations from Auckland firms which he has contacted. Among these is one for £5„ from A. J. Entrican and Co, £2 2s from Messrs Browne Bros and Geddes, and the promise of one-ton of cement (free) from Wilson's Portland Cement Co. In addition to> this Mr Majiy acknowledges the co-operation of the Northern Steamship Co in offering to convey, freight free all constructional gear, John Burns for donating a 2" valve and 36' pipe tees/ the Whakataiie Harbour Board for its offer to make no wharfage char-
