THEIR GRATITUDE EXPRESSED

Between fifty and sixty friends and relatives were present at the Whakatane West railway station on Saturday morning when local members of the Fourth Reinforcements left on the conclusion, of their final leave. In a statement which they requested should be mado public the men expressed thanks to the res-i- ---| dents of Whakatane for the wonderful time accorded them while on leave. They appreciated the hospitality and the welcome extended from all and assure the public that their experience while on final leave in the town will remain a grateful memory.
