POLISH NEWSPAPER
PUBLICATION IN LONDON NEWS FOR THE; REFUGEES A daily newspaper in Polish is being published in London for the benelit of thousands of Poles who have come to Britain since the collapse, first of their own land* and then of France, states the Christian Science Mini tor. In a message to the Dzinnik Polski, the new Polish daily, General Wladislaw Sikorski, Polish Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief has written: "Let us arm ourselves with staunch and purposeful resolution, and, like England, with cold determination in action pursue our tasks, and we shall conquer together with her." In order to provide Poles with a centre where they can keep alive their own traditions and national culture, the British Council has set up Ognisko Polski, the Polish House at 55 Prince's Gate. This was opened by Lord Halifax recently, in the presence of General Sikorski and members of the Polish Cabinet und National Council.
