HALF AND HALF
INGENUITY OF YOUTH
Old Guy Fawkes was not a patriot, at any rate not in the British sense of the word. However, thai was in no way taken into account by two Thames youngsters on November sth. They displayed, a ncai turn of ingenuity. These two enthusiasts were garbed in the customary Fifth of November rig when they arrived at one house in Thames on Tuesday night. "Anything fox the Guy?" was the urgent appeal when the door Avas opened in response to the knock. "Half for the Patriotic Fund and half for us," was the added plea. There may have been some novel ways of raising money for patriotic funds in the past, but this Thames instance deserves a place among the most unusual ol" them.
