FORMATION OF BOROUGH COMMITTEE COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES At the monthly meeting of the Borough Council His Worship tlic Mayor spoke ol' the formation of a local committee to control enlistments and supervise the work of the Home Guard in the Borough. Discussing the matter Avith the County Chairman, Mr J. L. Burnett, they AA r c:e of -the opinion thai best results could be obtained for the present by having separate co;n mittees for the county .and the borough, Avith a possible amalgamation later. The R.S.A. and Trades; Unions had been asked to appoint lavo representatives each and the council Avould also have two representatives on the committee. The Chamber of Commerce could also make appointments to the committee. His Worship the Mayor, Mr 8., S. Barry, and Gr S. S. Sliapley, dc-putyt-Mayor, were appointed Borough representatives.
