LABOUR DAY TOURNAMENT PLAYING UNDER DIFFICULTIES The stamina of the members of the Whakatane BoAvling Club is A r ery much above the usual, if the Labour Day tournament is any indication. Players also clad themselves to meet the conditions although thigh-boots Avere noticeably absent. It might perhaps be thought that the heavy rain Avould affect Arisibility but anj' handicap in this respect Avas offset bv the fact that the bowls Avhorled Avater skywards as they travelled and their courses Avere easily determined.
